Illustration project reflecting on the differences between the swedish and norwegian
languages. In Swedish, there is a saying called gult är fult (yellow is ugly), while the
same saying goes gult är kult (yellow is fun) in Norwegian. I decided to do a couple
of lighthearted illustrations, mostly focusing on the use of two colours – yellow and
green – that I seldom use in my other work. This project was done during a 2 week
long D.I.Y period at school. After this, we were advised to make an After Effects video
inspired by our project. The video and illustrations can be viewed below.
